About online therapy at Boncura

After your registration (check the information below for the requirements), an intake session will be scheduled and held online. During this conversation, you will meet your therapist, discuss your situation and goals, and together create a personal treatment plan.

Your treatment will then continue through online sessions, where you work on your goals with the support of your therapist and guided e-health exercises.

We believe treatment works best when we work together, not only during the sessions but also in your daily life. You will be encouraged to practice new skills and exercises between sessions, so real change can take place outside the screen. Please keep this in mind when you start treatment at Boncura, as your own effort is an important part of your progress.

To ensure clear expectations, please note that online therapy at Boncura has a maximum duration.

For regular psychological treatment, the programme includes up to 11 sessions, including the intake and evaluation moments.

For assessments related to developmental conditions, the diagnostic phase is followed by a maximum of 5 treatment sessions.

These limits help us provide focused, effective support within the guidelines of Dutch mental healthcare and your insurance conditions.

Medication is not available within the online therapy programme. If you think you might need medication, please discuss this with your local GP or check the information below.

Please review the information below about insurance coverage (AON, EHIC and others). The psychological treatment must meet certain conditions to be eligible for reimbursement, and these conditions differ depending on your type of insurance. The length and reimbursement of your treatment are not unlimited, and they will be discussed and confirmed with you after the intake to ensure clarity and prevent unexpected costs.
